Rachel Cane Artist in Residence Talk

Photo: Adolfo Bermudez

Join North Shore Studio Award Winner Rachel Crane, who is in residence at the Similkameen Artist Residency this Fall as part of Griffin’s new collaborative art residency series with SAR. Rachel will share about her experience of working and conducting research in the Similkameen region. Crane’s practice investigates how space is understood through objects, and how distance, framing, and geometry function as a language mediating the relationship between architecture and the human body. She also explores themes of text, humor and the nuances of her Guatemalan and mixed cultural identity through 3D forms.
