Garry Neill Kennedy EIGHTEEN DRAWINGS Virtual Book Launch

Eighteen Drawings is the latest release from micro-publisher As We Try & Sleep Press, edited by Kegan McFadden.

This new artist book of recent drawings by Garry Neill Kennedy is published in a limited edition to celebrate the artist’s 85th birthday. The book reproduces both sides of these drawings in full scale, capturing the movement and gusto with which they are created.

McFadden states: “Working, once again, with Garry Neill Kennedy is an honour and pleasure. When I saw these experimental drawings I envisioned a print edition and so I am extremely pleased to be publishing this artist book by one of Canada’s most important conceptual artists.”

A special online discussion and book launch with McFadden and David MacWilliam took place live over Zoom on December 13th. Copies of the book can be purhased from the gallery.

As We Try & Sleep Press is grateful to Garry Neill Kennedy and Cathy Busby, as well as Lynda Gammon who helped with layout and design, Rachel Topham Photography for such attention to detail, and to Lisa Baldissera of Griffin Art Projects and David McWilliam who curated NOW BULLETIN for their interest and enthusiasm in this project.
